Privacy

Skywall is a one-person project. This page explains what I collect when you preorder, ask for a discount code, contact me, or previously joined the waitlist.

Who is responsible

Kellan Gunner, based in the United States, runs getskywall.com and decides how your details are used. Contact: getskywall@gmail.com.

Preorders and payments

When online checkout is available, Stripe hosts the payment page and collects your payment details, email, name, and shipping address. I use the order details available to me to build and ship your Skywall, contact you about your order, and handle support. Your full card details are not collected or stored by this website. If the link that brought you here names where it was posted (for example, “reddit”), that label is passed to Stripe with your order, so I can see which posts lead to orders. The label describes the post, not you. See Stripe’s privacy policy.

Your name and address may be shared with the shipping provider to deliver your order. Placing an order does not sign you up for marketing emails.

Discount code signups

If you enter your email in the discount code box, I collect that email address and nothing else. I use it to send you the code, and occasional Skywall news afterwards. Every email has an unsubscribe link. Asking for a code does not create an order or reservation.

Previous waitlist signups

The earlier waitlist collected:

• Your email address.
• Your country, to plan shipping and availability.
• Optionally, whether you are interested for yourself or as a gift.

The waitlist did not collect names, towns, postal addresses, or payment details. Joining it did not create an order or reservation.

Why, and on what basis

Discount code and previous waitlist details are used to send the code and the Skywall updates you requested. You can withdraw that consent by unsubscribing or emailing me. If you email a question, I use your email and message to respond.

Where it is kept

• MailerLite stores discount code and previous waitlist signups, and sends the code and the requested updates. MailerLite may record whether an email was opened or a link in it was clicked. See MailerLite’s privacy policy.
• Cloudflare hosts this website. As with any website, it handles your IP address to deliver pages. The signup forms also use it to limit repeated or automated requests. See Cloudflare’s privacy policy.
• Meta receives the visit and preorder events described under Cookies and tracking, to measure and show my ads.

These companies may process data outside your country. Your details are not sold. Order details are shared with the services needed to process your payment and deliver your order.

Cookies and tracking

This website uses the Meta pixel, a small script from Meta (the company behind Facebook and Instagram). It tells Meta when someone who arrived from one of my ads visits, opens checkout, asks for a discount code, or preorders, so I can see which ads work and Meta can show them to people likely to be interested. Meta may set cookies to do this and may link the visit to your Facebook or Instagram account. Your payment details, address, and email are not sent to Meta by this website. You can limit this in your Meta ad preferences, or by blocking third-party cookies in your browser. See Meta’s privacy policy.

This website also counts how far down the page visits get: whether the gallery, the preview, and the preorder section came into view, and whether Preorder was pressed. Only daily totals are kept, on this website’s own server. No cookies are used for this, and no IP address or anything else that could identify you is stored.

Once you close the discount code box or ask for a code, your browser remembers that on your own device so the box is not shown on every visit. That note is not sent to me.

How long it is kept

Discount code and previous waitlist details are kept until you unsubscribe or ask me to delete them. Order and support details are kept as needed to fulfill orders, provide support, and maintain necessary business records. You can contact me about the details held about you.

Your choices

Marketing emails have an unsubscribe link. You can also email me to see, correct, or request deletion of details held about you. Some order records may need to be retained. Depending on where you live, you may have further rights under local law, including the right to complain to your data protection authority.

Changes

If this page changes in a way that affects you, the date at the top will change. Material changes affecting existing customers or subscribers will be communicated to them.
